Ready-made actions

Connect Shopify, WooCommerce or Cal.com in the cabinet, and the assistant tells customers the status of their order or books an appointment, without code.

Ready-made actions let the assistant do more than answer from the knowledge base: tell a customer where their order is, or book an appointment in your calendar. There are three: order status in Shopify, order status in WooCommerce and bookings in Cal.com. You connect them in the cabinet (my.epavdesk.com) with the keys of your store or calendar; no code and no own server are needed.

How it works

When you press Connect, the cabinet checks your keys with a real request and adds a custom tool to your panel (see Custom tools). The tool calls an EPAV service at https://my.epavdesk.com/actions/..., which asks your store or calendar and gives the assistant a short answer.

  • Your keys stay in your panel. They are saved in the tool's headers, encrypted, and travel with each call. EPAV does not store them.
  • Only the customer's own order. Before looking up an order, the assistant asks the customer to confirm their email with a code (the tool's Require verified contact is on). The order is shown only if it was placed with that email; for any other number the assistant hears "No order was found for this customer's email", the same as for a number that does not exist.
  • Codes need an email set up. The code reaches the customer from your own mail in Admin > Notifications > Email, or from the EPAV mailbox when it is switched on in the cabinet: the mailbox sends customers these codes and nothing else (see Notifications and the EPAV mailbox). With neither, the bot cannot send a code, and the action does not run. Customers your website or app signs in to the chat need no code (see Custom tools).
  • Every assistant gets the action. The cabinet ticks the new tools for all assistants of your platform. You can untick them in Admin > AI > Assistants, like any tool.

Connect Shopify

Since 1 January 2026 Shopify no longer lets stores create new apps in the store admin. Create one in the Dev Dashboard instead:

  1. In Shopify: Settings > Apps > Develop apps > Build apps in Dev Dashboard, then Create app.
  2. Set up a version with the scope read_orders and release it.
  3. In the app's Installs section, install it on your store.
  4. Copy the app's Client ID and Client secret.

In the cabinet, card Ready-made bot actions, Shopify: enter your store address (name.myshopify.com, or just name), the Client ID and the Client secret, and press Connect. EPAV exchanges them for an access token that Shopify issues for 24 hours, and renews it on its own.

If your store already has an app created in the admin before 2026, it gives an Admin API access token instead: paste the token into the first field and leave the secret empty.

  • With read_orders Shopify shows orders of the last 60 days; older orders need the read_all_orders scope.
  • The lookup compares the order's email with the customer's. If the assistant says it found no order even for a correct number and email, check in the app's settings that it may read customer data (Shopify calls it protected customer data).
  • The answer has the payment and fulfillment state, cancellation, tracking numbers with links, and the link to the order status page.

Connect WooCommerce

  1. In WordPress: WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced > REST API > Add key, permission Read.
  2. Copy the Consumer key and Consumer secret: the secret is shown only once.

In the cabinet: enter your site address, starting with https://, the key and the secret, and press Connect.

  • The lookup searches your orders by the customer's verified email and picks the one with the number the customer named, so it also works with plugins that give orders their own numbers. It looks at the customer's 50 most recent orders.
  • The answer has the status, date, total, items and shipping method. Tracking numbers come from the Shipment Tracking extension or from plugins that store them with the order.
  • The site must be reachable over HTTPS, with permalinks other than Plain. If the keys do not work although they are right, your hosting may strip the authorization header; EPAV then retries with the keys in the address, as WooCommerce allows.

Connect Cal.com

  1. In Cal.com: Settings > Developer > API keys > Add, set an expiry and copy the key. API keys are available on the free plan.
  2. Open the event type customers should book and copy the address from your browser: it ends with the event type's number.

In the cabinet: enter the API key and the address or the number, and press Connect. Two tools appear:

  • calendar_free_slots lists free times. It needs no code from the customer: free times are not personal data. The assistant asks for the customer's time zone or city first.
  • calendar_book books one of those times for the customer's verified email, after asking the customer's name and confirming the time. Cal.com sends the confirmation and the calendar invitation.

What the customer sees

  • "Where is my order 1001?" The assistant asks for the email, sends a code, and after the right code answers: paid, shipped on 3 October, tracking number with a link.
  • "Can I book a consultation next week?" The assistant asks the time zone, offers a few free times, asks the name and email, confirms the code and books.

If the store or calendar does not answer, the assistant tells the customer it could not complete the request and, where it may hand over, offers a person.

Change or remove an action

In the cabinet the card shows connected next to each action. Update keys saves new keys into the same tools; Disconnect removes the tools from your panel. In the panel the tools are listed under Admin > AI > Tools as shopify_order_status, woocommerce_order_status, calendar_free_slots and calendar_book: you can edit their descriptions, pause or delete them there too.

Agents do not get these tools in Juno or Generate reply by default. To let them look up orders, switch on Available in Copilot in the tool (see AI helpers for agents).
